About The Author
Tonita d’Raye is a retired researcher and journalist who specialized in health and nutrition subjects. A remarkable recovery from a life-threatening illness inspired her to begin a serious study of nutrition and other factors that promote health and healing in 1987. Her mission became sharing what she had learned in order to help others. Most people are pressed for time and simply do not have the luxury of poring over long books and researching subjects that interest them. Realizing this, Tonita decided to distill complex information from various sources into easy-to-read booklets that could be read quickly. Tonita has written eleven health-related booklets and over six million copies have been distributed all over the world. Now, it is her mission to continue to share her informative booklets as free ebooks that will continue to bring hope, health and healing to the world.
A message to you from Tonita
My family moved to the Northwest in 1950, when I was a child. I thought it was paradise. Imagine the whole of the Pacific Northwest as a beautiful national park. That is how I remember it. I’ll never forget my first drink of ice-cold water from a mountain stream. My passion since that first delicious experience is water. I love the wonderful refreshment of drinking pure-cold water, I love the feeling of water caressing my body when I shower, I love swimming in water, I love splashing in puddles, I love standing in the mist and in the thundering torrents of hard rain, I love listening to a babbling brook, I love watching the ocean waves, I love the serenity of mountain lakes, I love sitting in my hot-tub contemplating life, I love water everywhere. I sincerely hope this little book will ignite a passion within you about water that will enrich your life and those around you.
When I was twelve, my family watched sadly, as bulldozers toppled majestic trees for miles around our residence to make room for development. Heart-broken, I cried for days after this horrifying event. Gone was the ancient forest I would spend my days exploring. Gone was the quietness of nature and the serenity it brought to everyone. Our little town’s population topped off at 960 people in 1954. Now hundreds of thousands of people make their home where ancient forests once stood. Most people still think of the Northwest as God’s country—pure, clean, and beautiful—but our once-pristine air, soil, and water is seriously contaminated. In 1989, I wrote my first article about why pure water is crucial to our health and well-being and why our water supply is potentially unsafe at every source. That article evolved into this booklet. What I reported two decades ago is fast becoming a global tragedy. The contamination of our planet’s water has escalated to a degree that threatens the survival of all living things.
I hope you find this booklet interesting and enlightening. Once you have read its critical information about water, please become a water “lifeguard” by sharing it with friends and loved ones. Together, as a team, we can make a difference in protecting and nurturing ourselves, our loved ones, other residents of this global community, and our wonderful home, the earth.
Let us envision a world of peace, joy, and purity.
Tonita d’Raye
